“…and then, I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough?”
September To-Read Books
I mentioned before that September was going to be my month for both stretching boundaries and diving deep. So, to that end, I wanted to share my reading list for September. These are all authors I either haven’t read, or haven’t read in a long time, with stories that are not my usual thing, so I am really excited. It will be a literary odyssey indeed 🙂
My list:
The Sisters: The Saga of the Mitford Family
The Language of Spells by Laura Painter
The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George
The Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler
The Wild Girl by Kate Forsyth
Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth
The Scavenger’s Daughters by Kay Bratt
Mr. Penubra’s 24-Hour Bookstore
Crush by Richard Siken
The Collected Stories of Lydia Davis
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
When My Brother Was an Aztec by Natalie Diaz
This is a massive list. I don’t know if I will get though it. But I do read fast and will have no television, so who knows. The good thing, though, is if I don’t get through it, so what? It just means that I have more to look forward to in October 🙂 So, what new and strange books have caught your attention today?
I’m also interested in the books about books. Little Paris and the 24-Hour Bookstore. Still have on my list: A Novel Bookstore which I bought from one of my favorite bookstore in Denver: Tattered Cover. Have you read 84 , Charting Cross Road ?
Love the lists!

Nope, I have not! I love books about bookstores so I will add that to my list. This is going to be a good winter, bookwise, I can already feel it 🙂
